Extra Life North is a two-day celebration of gaming on August 8 & 9, 2026. Gamers from across Canada and the US will gather for two days of fun, connection, and fundraising!
WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION?
Your registration for the event includes:
- All tournaments/activities
- Morning coffee/tea
- Snacks
- Lunch
- A donation to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba!
An optional fundraiser t-shirt add-on can be purchased for $20 before July 1, 2026. Please ensure you check the size chart!
HOW MUCH DOES EXTRA LIFE NORTH COST?
Early bird prices are in effect and listed below – Grab your tickets before the price increases on July 1, 2026!
Regular Registration:
- Weekend admission: $90 ($100 regular)
- Saturday only: $45 ($50 regular)
- Sunday only: $45 ($50 regular)
Youth Registration:
- Weekend admission: $45 ($50 regular)
- Saturday only: $22 ($25 regular)
- Sunday only: $22 ($25 regular)
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Extra Life North is open to anyone in the gaming community – whether you’re an Extra Lifer, spouse/friend/family/network of an Extra Lifer, or just have a passion for gaming you’re welcome to join us!
Responsible teens 14+ years old may attend Extra Life North at the regular admission rate when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We are also able to include mature youth 10 – 13 years old who require minimal supervision when accompanied by a parent or guardian. We ask that adults please use their best judgement – there will be a few breaks in gaming to hear from the team at the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba (which may not be interesting to all younger folks), and our board game library is on loan (adult guardians are responsible for any damages).
HOTEL INFORMATION
The closest hotel to our venue Launch Coworking Downtown is the Delta Winnipeg, which is accessible via skywalk. Registrants are responsible for booking and payment directly with their hotel of choice.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
The schedule will be confirmed closer to the event, but expect a fun-filled community event where you can connect, socialize, and most importantly – play games!
Casual gaming available all weekend:
- Board games (board game library available, or feel free to bring your own – just label them!)
- Video games, including Nintendo Switch 2
- Dance Dance Revolution (two player mode, with all songs from the DDR games)

Prizes to be won throughout the event:
- Door prize

A 50/50 draw supporting the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba
- 50% to the winner
- 50% to CHFM, via the Extra Life fundraising page of the winner’s choice
A chance to hear about the impact of our donations from CHFM staff, and play games with our Champion Child Ireland!

All proceeds support kids in our community who rely on Manitoba’s only children’s hospital. Funds raised go towards life-saving equipment, programs that provide comfort to families during difficult times, and leading-edge research at Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM).
