
This summer, we are thrilled to host Extra Life North in Winnipeg – a new in-person celebration for our gaming community. This event will bring gamers from across Canada and the US to connect, play, and support a great cause!
All proceeds from Extra Life North will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
About the Event
Date: August 8 & 9, 2025 (Friday & Saturday)
Time: TBC (approximate time 9AM – 6PM each day)
Location: Delta Hotel Winnipeg (350 St. Mary Ave)
Registration Fee: $100 CAD / ~$70 USD
Optional Fundraising T-Shirt Add-On: $20 CAD / ~$14 USD (sizing chart)
Your registration fee includes: Morning coffee/tea & lunch both days, plus a donation to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba

Who Can Attend?
Extra Life North is open to the gaming community. Whether you’re an Extra Lifer, spouse/friend/family/network of an Extra Lifer, or just have a passion for gaming – you are welcome to join us!
We are also able to include responsible teens 13+ who require minimal supervision, when accompanied by a parent or guardian. We ask that adults please use their best judgement – there will be a few breaks in gaming to hear from the team at the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba and our Champion Children (which may not be interesting to all younger folks), and our board game library is on loan (adult guardians are responsible for any damages).
Hotel Room Information
The Delta Hotel Winnipeg by Marriott has a limited number of rooms available at a preferred rate of $209 CAD / ~$147 USD per night. These rooms are available while quantities last on a first come first served basis, and must be booked no later than end of day Monday, July 7, 2025.
After you register for the event, your confirmation email will include the hotel reservation link. Registrants will reserve their rooms directly with Delta Hotel Winnipeg.
What To Expect?
The schedule will be finalized closer to the event (check out a very rough draft to give you a general idea for now), but expect a fun-filled community event where you can connect, socialize, and most importantly – play games!
- Casual gaming available all event
- Board games (board game library courtesy of the amazing folks at GameKnight)
- Video games (we’ll have some TVs and monitors with game consoles, plus feel free to bring your own gaming devices)
- Pinball machine (courtesy of our partners at Phantom Amusement – all of the loonies collected during the event will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba!)
- Dance Dance Revolution
- Optional tournaments with a small entry fee for charity (both competitive and casual tournaments available)
- Gaming challenges
- Prizes to be won throughout the event, including a door prize and more!
- 50/50 draw supporting the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba
- A chance to hear about the impact of our donations from the staff at the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, and play games with our current and former Champion Children!
- Interested Extra Lifers will have a chance to discuss topics like fundraising and event planning
- Optional dinner and activities in the evening (at registrant’s expense unless noted otherwise – full details will be provided leading up to the event)
